Accounts Receivable Specialist
EDUCATION: Bachelors of Science in Biology from Florida Atlantic University.
ROLE AT THE PORT: Kate is the Port’s Accounts Receivable Specialist and handles all invoicing required by the Port. Kate takes care of all billing for all cruise ship visits, fishing vessel moorage, research and log vessels, tenant lease and utility billing, parking ticket violations, airport property and fueling matters.
WORK HISTORY: She has a wide variety of office experience, but always fell into the accounting side of the house. She’s got a great affinity for numbers and absolutely loves working in this field.
FAMILY: Kate and her husband grew up in Florida and met in high school, reconnecting years later while he was stationed at the USCG station in Astoria. They now have a 2 year old named Ava, who’s got more personality in her pinky finger than most adults!
HOBBIES: On the weekends, Kate is usually boating with her family or at the beach. She is very into fitness and has been an avid painter for over 15 years.
